This means we work entirely on behalf of you, the consumer, and nobody else – so you can rest assured that you're getting the very best advice available.

The Which? Group

As a not-for-profit charitable organisation, all the money we make from our commercial operations is used to support the activities of the Which? Group.

Leaving donations to charity
Who are Buglife?

Buglife is Europe’s only charity dedicated to the conservation of all invertebrates. For over 20 years, Buglife has worked to stop the extinction of invertebrate species and protect the small things that keep our planet thriving. Its work spans habitat restoration, species recovery, education, campaigning and protecting important invertebrate sites.

Can I include a donation to Buglife in my will?

Yes. A charitable donation can be included as part of the will-writing process, with clear guidance to help you add a gift that reflects your wishes. You can choose how you give, whether it’s a fixed cash sum or a percentage of your estate. Gifts are not limited to cash and can also include property, stocks and shares, or valuable items such as jewellery and art. Whatever you choose to leave, your gift can make a lasting difference for years to come.

How can a legacy donation support a charity’s work?

Gifts in wills can play an important role in supporting the causes people care about. They help charities continue their work, support communities, and plan for the future with greater certainty. This type of funding can contribute to ongoing services and longer-term initiatives. For many, leaving a gift is one way to extend their support, contributing to work that continues beyond their lifetime.

What type of gift can I make in my will?
  1. Specific gifts – such as your jewellery, shares or property
  2. Cash – known as ‘pecuniary’ gifts
  3. Residuary gifts – what's left after all debts have been paid and all other legacies have been accounted for.
Completing your document
How long does it take to complete a document?

We suggest you set aside around 1 hour to complete a document, although it can take less or more time, depending on the type of document you're creating and how much information you have to hand.

Do I have to complete my document in a set time period?

No, there isn't a time limit, you are very much in control of when you complete your documents. So you can start, then pause and come back when you are ready. But now you have purchased your documents, we suggest you complete them sooner rather than later.

What happens once I've completed the document?

Once you’ve made your purchase, you can start completing your document whenever it suits you using the easy-to-use online software.

Once you’ve completed your document, you can submit it for review by selecting ‘Send for review’ next to your document. A specialist will then review it and provide any feedback, guidance, or suggested changes if needed.

What happens after I buy my document?

You can start filling it out when you’re ready with our easy to use software.

How will I know if my document is legally binding?
